My Favourite Things!

What does your toddler like to play with?
Bright coloured toys that play cheerful music?
Nope! Absolutely no interst in them, right?
Ah, the box they came in, you say!
And the noisy noise-making toys? Of course!
How about your slippers & shoes?
And the socket and your mobile charger?

When Kidlet 1 turned two, I decided to make him a cake with all his favourite things on it.

It had his favourite teddy and a xylophone & drum set.
His favourite books and fruits.
Toothbrush & toothpaste.
Paper & crayon (I let him draw on the fondant paper with some edible marker).

His favourite TV channel (Baby TV)

And of course it would not be complete without my red slippers and a mobile and charger. I even put a socket for the little one to plug the charger in.

It also had his favourite flowers-- Dandelions, all around it, although you cannot quite tell.

I also put strips of fondant on the cake with the words he used to say at the time written on them with edible marker.

I deliberately left all the things loose on the cake, and it paid.
He immediately picked up the charger and tried to put it in the socket!
Then he picked up the toothbrush, smeared the paste on it, and tried to brsuh his teeth.

His "Favourite Things Cake" for me was not just a cake.
It's a treasured memory.
And it's one of my all time favourite cake. xx
