New School!

Our littlest one starts school this year! She has taken to school like a duck to water!
School to her Mummy right now is what pretty dress can we wear tomorrow! Anya is loving making friends, singing, and playing in playgroup.
She tells me they even play football outside!
We are in a bit of a confusion with the big kid though. We changed school for our Mr. smarty-pants and put him in one class up!
He was starting class-2 this year, but instead we've put him in class-3!
He is happy to be learning new things. He was getting bored learning the same things again and again. Now he is quite excited about the new challenges.
But his new school is in the afternoon- which disrupts our daily routine quite a bit!
He doesn't come back home till 6 pm!
Whereas before, dinner was at 7 and bedtime at 8, he is having to do his homework after dinner now. He can't do them in the morning, as- in the mornings, I have to run with Anya and he has to come along with me! Which means his bedtime has been pushed to 10 pm these days!
Which also means zero me-time for poor Mummy!
His new school has huge playground and lots of trees. My little boy is excited about those grassy patches and trees, and gardens and butterflies. He sits on the stairs at tiffin-break and watches the "view" while he eats. Especially in this rainy season the view must be amazing. After school he plays with his friends for half an hour or so- in the fields, in the grass. He told me he saw a yellow butterfly with black spots today. Which almost makes up for the chaotic schedule on my part!
Happy new school year to all the little ones! xx Update!: Soon after writing this post back in August, 2017, we changed school for Ayaan. We loved the playground and the green, but it was just too tiring for the kiddo--all those late hours! So we put him in school with his little sister. It's still new school and new friends for him, but he loves being the big brother, asking after his little sister from her playgroup teacher. It's all nice and good in our household, and we are back in our nice routine again. xx
